I was born in Arima in the small island of Trinidad to Mary Nurse and have one brother and three sisters. I was reared together with my brother and sisters under the strict religious guidance of our grandmother, Irene Nurse and thus was my foundation in the Lord established. I attended Arima New Government School and Arima Central High School respectively. Upon acquiring GCE O'Levels I worked at a major bank in Trinidad and then migrated to the United States of America at age 23, leaving my 9 month old son in the care of my grandmother.

After holding various jobs to put myself through college and support my son, in July 1991, I graduated from St. Francis College, Brooklyn with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a Minor in Economics, even though my heart's desire was to pursue a legal career which led me to work in the legal field until this present time. I currently work in a legal capacity for a major international holding company and have been in their employ for the past 14 years. Having a penchant for real estate, I also worked with a major real estate company on a part-time basis and later established my own home-based real estate office.

In June 2003, my husband and I journeyed to Ghana, Africa to simply enjoy a few days on this vast continent. Little did I know that one year later, I would be on a missionary journey that would last the rest of my life. The history of my ancestors came to life before my eyes in a way I had never before envisioned. I relived many days and nights of my childhood years that of a simple, down-to-earth hard-working life.

Being true to the calling of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, my aim in this life is to spread the good message and, what better way to accomplish such goal than by doing good.
