I am Edwin W.K. Aklorbortu, the youngest son of Worwurh Aklorbortu and Gitasi Aklorbortu (both deceased) out of eight brothers and seven sisters. I completed my middle school education at Evangelical Presbyterian School in 1965 with full distinction at the school leaving level and also attained five subjects at the General Certificate Examinations level. In 1967, I joined the Ghana Police Force and terminated in 1973 to join The Social Security and National Insurance Trust as Manager/Head of Security until 2004 when I retired.
In 1973, I was ordained as Pastor of The Evangelical Universal Church and currently hold the title of Cardinal. Also acting in the capacity of Chairman of The Episcopal Counsel for The Evangelical Universal Church in Ghana and am the Chairman of South Tongu Constituency for a major political party. I am also the owner and manager of Walkman Securities Company in Accra, Ghana.
At present, I am the Chief-Coordinator of Services for Loving Hands of Hope and I volunteer my services in administration, office management, and in coordinating and managing all aspects of Loving Hands of Hope in Ghana. Consequently, I overseer projects throughout the villages from the planning stage to completion, coordinate meetings with the village elders, manage and distribute donated goods throughout the villages, coordinate workforce/teams for the various projects (such as communal farming, construction of the school, construction of the toilet facilities) oversee the administrative aspect of the functioning of Loving Hands of Hope School and deal with all other relevant issues in correlation with Loving Hands of Hope in Ghana.
