I am Divine Aklorbortu, the eldest of six children, and son of Edwin and Lucy Aklorbortu from Gowenu, South Tongu District, Upper Volta Region, Accra, Ghana.  I attended Kimgbu Junior Secondary School in Accra and then pursued a course in electronics at AxuTec Technical School in Cape Coast.  I worked as an electrician for a short period and then branched off into the rattan industry for the next six years.  Currently, I am a retailer in the Arts & Craft Industry. 

Originally, I am from the Village of Gowenu but have resided at Ho in the Volta Region and currently, I live at Dansoman, Accra.  I am the Manager of Operations for Loving Hands of Hope in Accra. Ghana and, I overseer all facets of the management of Loving Hands of Hope and work in conjunction with my father, Bishop Aklorbortu on a voluntary basis.   My portfolio includes administration, project management, overseeing the workmen on the various projects, overall management and any other aspect which evolves around the effective functioning of Loving Hands of Hope on a day-to-day basis.  I am the father of two sons and one daughter.

My aim is to see the Village and its surrounding hamlets rise to a level of economic independence and to help in the development of the community – this will ensure my people with a better way of life.
